Firstly, I love these pages! I always like seeing characters as their younger selves! Secondly, I say do the nudity and cursing as needed. She’s a teenager so let her curse. Teenagers/ young adults curse. I mean you got people being brutally beaten so… I mean if I came across someone a torn up as some of the characters I’d be like “Oh shit! What the fuck happened to you?!” And I think if it’s tasteful, do the nudity. We don’t need to see underage teenage sex, but showing Scout in the tube naked isn’t a big deal. My 2 cents. Keep up the Amazing work Soph!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I prefer the book keep nudity + profanity to a minimum.

Mostly, because it can become the only thing readers see.

I think you should cut loose with violence, but resist the urge to include much nudity. I think the inherent cuteness of the characters balances well with the ferocity of the action scenes.

That said, I will certainly enjoy it either way.

Nudity and bad words!!!! Haha, I usually tell myself I’m going to do something for my kids and it never ends up being appropriate. I think you should just do whatever your are feeling works best. Obviously it’s nice to have something for most age groups but at the same time, you have to make what you feel is best. If a book is totally YA until someone starts yelling the f word naked, it just is what it is!

I ...love your style. Can't get enough of it!

I'd say go with the flow. If nudity feels like it goes with it, go with it. Don't force it.

Initially, I was ... sure whatev! But then I remember how much I enjoy reading YA stuff Bad stuff can happen in those stories too, but it's usually because of good vs evil, and you don't need nudity and swearing to tell the story. So, I agree with Samax: it'll interfere with the story telling. The characters can still be "professional" while doing their thing. Don't you ever feel like the writer is leaning on a trope when you already know the two main characters in a movie have a wonderful relationship but they have to stick in a sex scene just 'cause. So hard to do right and usually detracts from the storyline. My 3 1/4 cents ...
