APR. 16th -- Hello, Sophie Campbell! :) I've just read the 2 chapters & I'd like to please share my thoughts w/you. -- 1) Please know that I think it's very cool how the 1st chapter has NO DIALOGUE except for one page near the beginning, that's AWESOME! Your encompassing artwork speaks louder than any words, it excels at telling this extremely powerful story all on its own, especially when you see all the painful facial expressions & the motion conveyed by the characters attacking each other, as well as the numerous parts where people are very still. -- 2) The colors are Out-Stan-Ding! I'm not an expert on art, but I certainly wouldn't change a single pigmented pixel! The color RED is used perfectly, and, the distinctive bright blue of Kyisha's hair makes me want to dye my own afro the same way. -- 3) I'm loving the futuristic motorcycle, I keep hearing the music from "Akira" every time I see it, and the Shadow-Babies are too cute for mere words to convey. But I personally think the best part is whenever you have a page that SOLID BLACK, it makes me stop & think about what I just experienced on the previous page. I'm not certain when was the last time I saw a blank page in a comic book, you've used it so effectively that it feels like another character. -- THANK YOU SO MUCH! <3 --MATTHEW
