↓ Kyisha and Shadow-Scout cuddling while watching TV. This features Scout’s “future” design that I ended up scrapping for the actual comic.
↓ Here’s a character named Crimson who was going to show up in a later comic but ended up on the cutting room floor. She was in the first Shadoweyes book in one scene, an unnamed girl that Scout rescues from some bullies, and I thought it would be cool for her to return later as a Shadoweyes superfan. Crimson would track Scout down somehow and be kind of annoying at first, almost stalker-y, but eventually be one of Scout’s new friends. If I ever do a third Shadoweyes book maybe she can join the cast.
↑ Testing out different Scout hairstyles, none of which I ended up using. That seems to happen a lot, there’s so much design work and ideas and characters that I spend time developing but that end up abandoned!
↓ I had this idea that Scout would be a teacher when she got older, I think I imagined her teaching geology, if I remember right.
↑ For a good while I planned on having Noah lose an arm as a result of the attack he suffers at the hands of the Wolf Pack gang at the beginning of Shadoweyes For Good. I did several other pics and sketches of him with a mechanical arm, but eventually, like always, I scrapped it, haha.
I never saw Scout as a sexy character in the comic. Cute, but not particularly alluring, you know? (not a criticism, btw)
BUT pretty much ALL of your concept drawings (even the headshots) give me bombshell vibes ♥swoon♥
Crimson has potential. It would be interesting to see how Sparkle reacted to her character.
I love Cyborg Noah. It's definitely the kind of thing I would do. lol
love everything. best is the shadows in the first pic.
